Overview
A control and logging utility built to drive Tecan Cavro XLP 3000 syringe pumps over RS232 during EMC-compliance testing. It exposes the full DT/OEM command set, runs scripted recipes and captures every exchange — so pumps can be exercised and monitored continuously through an EMC test run.
The challenge
EMC testing needs controlled, continuous operation
Pumps must be driven through defined cycles while emissions and immunity are measured, and any fault during a run has to be captured unambiguously.
The raw pump protocol is unforgiving
The Cavro DT/OEM command set is low-level; hand-typing commands during a live test is slow and error-prone.
Our approach
Full command set, friendly UI
Preset and raw commands, a reusable command pool and volumetric aspirate/dispense in real units make the pump easy to drive correctly.
Scripted recipes
Command sequences can be saved and replayed to run pumps through repeatable cycles unattended for the duration of a test.
A complete audit log
CSV and text logging of every TX/RX frame, with error counters and markers, produces evidence ready for the test report.
